Relationships and sex education (RSE) is taught in an age-appropriate
way, building on the skills and knowledge taught before. It is timetabled regularly
in school so children have constant reminders. At Parkwood, we believe it is
essential we teach what a healthy relationship is and how to stay safe. We also
teach children about commitment, privacy, respect and consent.
As children develop their understanding of relationships,
they can start to appreciate how they fit into society, and within a community
there are different groups that should treat each other equally.
